First Chance Center is recognized by the community as a major entity for providing employment services. The major programs and eligibility are:

Work Services - Employment in our sheltered workshop or on mobile crews performing contract work. Persons served need to have a diagnosis of Mental Retardation/Developmental Delay before age 21.
Habilitation Training - Training for optimal independence in daily living skills, and providing community participation. Same eligibility as Work Services.
FCC Industries - Affirmative work setting for people with and without disabilities.
Community Employment Services - Assisting people tin job readiness skills and job placement in the community. Persons served either have a disability and are referred from Vocational Rehabilitation or desire to become self-sufficient through the Impact/Welfare to Work program.
Pre-Vocational Program - This is a service in collaboration with South Central Special education Cooperative to provide employment readiness skills for students in the Special education class. The students attend the workshop one day a week as part of their transition plan.
Orange County Transit Service - Providing public transportation to all Orange County residents. A Medicaid transportation provider.
Early Intervention Services - Providing Developmental Therapy and Service Coordination for First Steps for families with children who are birth to three and have a developmental delay or are at risk for developmental delay due to a medical condition or biological factors. A Toddler Playgroup focuses on developmental skills through play activities for toddlers 18 months to 3 years old who have developmental delays. Funded by WHAS Crusade for Children.
